We heard Amanda’s story in Present Perfect, and now we get to hear Noah’s side, and it is truly heartbreaking.

As we hear the story of Amanda and Noah’s friendship turned romance from Noah’s POV, we get to see exactly how strong his feelings for his Tweet were, long before he showed them to her.

One thing that was important to Noah and Amanda was sharing all of theirs firsts with each other; however, there was one major first that didn’t work out that way.  We learn through Noah’s story that this first didn’t happen because of lies and betrayal.  When the truth is revealed to Noah, you can’t help but to feel for him.

Noah and Amanda’s journey from friendship to love is not an easy one.  They have many obstacles that they have to overcome.  Amanda tries to keep Noah in the friend-zone, and this leads to these best friends having hard feelings toward each other, and hidden feelings lead to jealousy, which only pushes them further apart when Noah tries to move on.  We are allowed to see the effect that Amanda pushing Noah away has on him, and it’s completely heartbreaking.

When tragedy strikes, Noah no longer lets Amanda push him away.  Through this, she finally realizes that Noah is always going to be there for her, and he may be exactly what she needs to heal, and that she just may deserve the happiness that being with him brings.

Although we know how Noah and Amanda’s story ends, the journey through Noah’s eyes is beautifully written with so much emotion, you can feel it pouring off the pages.  The glimpses into his thoughts is even more heartbreaking than reading it through Amanda’s eyes.  5 well-deserved stars.
