Review:

Tinklee is grieving the loss of her brother as the result of a fighter jet accident, and she is determined to prove that the accident wasn’t caused by pilot error and clear his name. To do this, she must fly the same jet – the Air Force’s F-35. Because she grew up in the military, she knew what to expect going into her training. What she didn’t expect was for one of her superior officers to be Locke, the stranger that she had been with the night before. Tinklee and Locke know that they can’t be together as long as he is one of her instructors, but that doesn’t stop the attraction between them to grow. Lack of communication and feelings of betrayal cause Tink to pull away from Locke and focus more on her training and trying to figure out exactly what happened to her brother.

********** POSSIBLE SPOILERS **********

When they are called up for deployment, Tinklee and Locke address their feelings for each other, and realize that they won’t let anything stand in their way of being together, even though it could cost them their careers. Satisfied with their decision, they focus on the war that they are about to engage in. One flight causes Tink to panic, and question whether she wants to fly again. Tragedy strikes, causing her to have to look past her own fears to help others that she has grown to care about and love.

Jamie Rae does an amazing job of drawing you into the story, and keeps you glues from the first page. A must-read. Highly recommend. 4 stars.
