by Jettie Woodruff
Genre: New Adult
What can I say….Jettie Woodruff has done it again!! As with every book of Jettie’s that I’ve read I was sucked into this story and the emotional roller coaster was real. I love how she writes with so much conviction and makes the reader FEEL her stories.
I absolutely loved Mikki, Pea and Blake! Makayla Carlie has had a tough life but everything comes to a head 3 months before her 18th birthday. With revenge on her mind Mikki sets out to find the only person she can think of to hurt to make him pay. What she finds instead is Pea. After a chance meeting she finds exactly what she needs in her life and this book tells just what lengths she’ll go through to keep and protect what she holds dear.
Black Rain was a heart warming story about love and family and unlike any of Jettie’s books I’ve read before. I’m at a loss for words just trust me if you like Jettie Woodruff you know she’s a wordsmith and this book will not disappoint. If you’ve never read her before you are in for a treat. This story has suspense, love and some twists you will not see coming. Highly recommend!!
Running smack into one man while trying to get to another wasn’t part of the plan. I never meant to plow into him. I was upset, running from a pain that followed me. The fact that he needed me was not only a blessing, but an omen as well. I could get far, far away from the agony and never look back. I could get to the one man I wanted to suffer, and never let him see me coming. It was the perfect plan.
I was the blinded one, oblivious to what was impending. Propositions and untied shoes, lies and runny noses, betrayal and playdates, all things I never saw coming. Unconditional love was forced down my throat, compelling me to do things I had to do. I ran.
No matter what they say, it wasn’t about the money. It was never about the money.
Jettie Woodruff is a lifelong writer, living in a pretend world since she was a little girl. Jettie spent hours filling pages of spiral notebooks with a number two pencil and a wild imagination. Her very first story was a sci-fi of all things.
Jettie writes more along the lines of deep now. She likes to keep her readers on edge, and deliver a story that will pull out every emotion possible. Writing on the edge of taboo and dark, Jettie hopes to distribute an adventure you’ll not soon forget.
Married for twenty five years, raising two boys and one girl has left lots of writing material. She has recently become a grandma to not one, but two of the most beautiful little girls on planet earth.
Jettie also hates doing this bio. That’s all you get. She loves to read and write. What else is there? ❤
