Release date: February 23rd, 2015
It was supposed to be easy.
Hire a professional actor to play my fake fiancé.
But when he steps in front of my door to pick me up for The Interview, my heart stops. Chase Wright is perfect. And hot. I mean like, burn up your dress hot. However, Chase isn’t professional at all. I hate what he does to me with his sinfully sexy blue eyes. I hate that he wants me in his bed.
One month…that’s all I need him for. All I have to do is stay out of his bed. But the rules slowly begin to change. My fake fiancé suddenly becomes my fake husband. When Chase offers me an indecent proposal, it’s too late to fire him. It’s too late to decline.
Full-length novel. Includes free prequel novella THAT GUY.
I am absolutely in love with this series and cannot wait for the next installment.
Laurie Hanson is a college graduate, unemployed with no job prospects in the near future, and is need of a fiancé. Laurie’s best friend finds her a date on an online dating site and sets the date for that night. What Laurie does not count on is how hot Chase (her date) turns out to be and how her body reacts to him.
Chase takes Laurie to a run down bar for their date where she sets the ground rules in what she is looking for in their fake engagement and the terms. Chase accepts the terms with no questions asked, and this puzzles Laurie a little, but never the less, she goes ahead with the “engagement”. When Laurie calls her step father to tell him she is engaged, he insists on coming to see her and her fiancé.
When Laurie’s stepfather Clint arrives with his girlfriend Shannon, they insist on meeting Laurie’s fiancé, so they head to dinner and many things are revealed. For starters, Clint and Shannon are planning on getting married, which leads to Laurie drinking a little too much wine. The next day Clint’s lawyers show up and inform Laurie that in order to fulfill her mother’s will, she must be married by the time she turns 23, which is in 20 days, even though she had a verbal agreement with Clint that an engagement would be enough to honor the will.
Laurie tells Chase everything and he agrees to marry her, in fact almost insists on it, but why? What’s in it for him???
While on a date Laurie and Chase are photographed by what they think is the paparazzi so Chase insists that Laurie spend the night at his place so that she is safe. Could it be Laurie’s stepfather who hired someone to take the pictures? If so, why and if it wasn’t him, who???
Is sending the night with Chase such a good idea??? Will Laurie give into her desires for Chase??? 5 stars.
