The equations are simple.
Piper Ashby + Brad Ashby = Twin Siblings
Brad Ashby + Tanner McCain = Best Friends
Piper Ashby +Tanner McCain = Off limits

Love Surfaced is just one more reason why Michelle Lynn is an auto one-click author for me. I absolutely loved everything about this book.
Piper has been in love with Tanner for as long as she’s known him. Only one thing stands in her way of making her feelings known: her twin brother and Tanner’s best friend, Brad. She senses that things have slowly changed between her and Tanner over the last few years, but knows that out of respect for her brother, Tanner would never date her. Then one night at a party, Tanner is more flirtatious than normal, which causes her to believe that he may return her feelings. It doesn’t take long for Tanner to make his intentions known, and they spend the next few weeks sneaking whatever time they can together, all so Brad doesn’t find out that they’re together. The time that they spend together is filled with fun and laughter, and lots of sexy time. Tanner gets to a point where he no longer wants to hide that they’re together, and they agree to tell Brad. Before they can get the that point, everything that they’ve built, including their friendship, comes crashing down.
Fast forward two years and we find Piper returning home for her brother’s wedding. To say that she’s nervous about seeing Tanner again is an understatement. Although he attempted several times to contact her several times after revealing what shattered their relationship, she never responded to him. She can’t forgive him for what happened back then, and has no idea how she’ll react to seeing him again. All it takes is him saying her name one time for Piper to realize that her heart still belongs to him. But can she forgive him? Even if she does, can she ever trust him again?
Tanner is perfection. He’s loyal, strong, driven, sweet, caring, and has a great sense of humor. More importantly, he loves Piper completely. He knows that he made a mistake when secrets and lies tore him and Piper apart. Even after two years, his feelings for her haven’t gone away, and he’ll do whatever it takes to win her back. The first step, however, is getting her to talk to him so he can explain what really happened two years ago. But when he sees that Piper is now with someone else, is it too late for them? Will they get their second chance at love?
Love Surfaced is one of Michelle’s best books to date. The secondary characters were just as amazing as Tanner and Piper, and I really hope we get more of their stories in future books. Highly recommend. 5 stars.
Michelle moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring from
school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten years
ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids. She developed a love of reading at a young
age, which helped lay the foundation for her passion to write. With the encouragement of her family, she
finally sat down and wrote one of the many stories that have been floating
around in her head. When she isn’t reading or writing, she can be found playing
with her kids, talking to her mom on the phone, or hanging out with her family
and friends. But after chasing around
twin preschoolers all day, she always cherishes her relaxation time after
putting the kids to bed.
