It’s 2034. In 2029, the D Plague struck and killed half the world’s population. Those who contracted the virus faced certain death and the disintegration of their bodies afterwards into dust. Unbeknownst to all but a handful of people left on Earth, one twenty-two-year-old man contracted the D Plague and lived. His name is Aric Rodrigue.
Aric may be a living miracle, but he’s haunted by survivor’s guilt. His entire family gone, he gave up his dream of attending medical school in order to take over his parents’ pharmaceutical company. He knows he’s doing good work but can’t seem to alleviate his depression and loneliness.
Then, Aric meets Chelsea Capra. He immediately senses that the woman is anything but average. He discovers that she suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2033 and remembers nothing of her previous life. A computer genius who has lingering emotional and physical challenges, Chelsea improves with Aric’s help, and they fall in love. However, the couple quickly comes to the conclusion that their pasts are somehow linked. They become suspicious of the government employees protecting them. Aric combines his resources, connections, and drive in his efforts to save them, but he wonders whether or not he’s been betrayed by his closest friend and former lover, the first female President of the United States.

I was given this book for my honest review
Chelsea-pretty and damaged
Are you ready to take a futuristic journey like no other? Are you ready to experience the world in a
different light where all that you have known is just a blimp on the eyelids of our current reality? Aric
and Chelsea’s journey is just that. A world as we know it becomes a different reality for future
generations to come. Where what we know is that of what we think. This book takes us to another time
and place like no other has before but with twists of love, mystery, sexual realization, an intense
knowing that our hearts are now only beginning to fathom. The intensity of this book will have you
crying in all the right places, saying “Oh No” in a lot of places but it will also have you gasping at times
too. The greatest part of this book is not the beginning nor the middle and definitely not the end but
what lies beneath the story of which it all began.
F.D.R said “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself” the fear of the unknown will become a
realization within the first few pages of this book. You will be able to grasp onto this read and want to
hang on for dear life till the last page is read and then turn around and re-read them several times just
as I did. The fate of these characters and their friends will have you in such an awe that closing the book
will hurt your heart a bit.
With a caring and heavy heart we get to meet the hunky Aric that will have your heart swooning at
every turn. Chelsea is a bit of a euphoric puzzle for Aric that becomes entranced with this beauty at first
glance. The purity of Chelsea and the mystery that surrounds her along with her friends is tantalizing at
To the author: When writing this review it became evident to me that a normal review could not be
written no matter how many times I tried. The wondrous that you created within the pages that took
me to another place in futuristic times was just an emotional journey that your readers will have to take
on for themselves. The heart that you put in the pages was just awe.
