What started as an assignment became more than Lily could have ever hoped for…
Lily Salomé has encountered more challenges than the average twenty-four year old. After a horrendous crash killed her parents, an abusive relationship was all she needed to calcify her broken heart to stone. So when Lily’s boss comes to her with a challenge most girls would balk at, she knows there isn’t much left in this world to be afraid of.
The target: Jonas Crane, a brooding business mogul who hasn’t smiled once since his divorce. Dark, dangerous and mouthwatering, Crane has written a book about life in the fast lane and with the recent publicity, Lily’s boss wants the rights. Problem is, Crane won’t return a phone call, let alone agree to a meeting. But if a pretty publishing assistant happens to run into him at the Waldorf, with a business card and a smile…what could go wrong?
A lot, it seems. Lily thinks she’s going to the Waldorf to meet a rich jerk, or worse, a playboy, but the truth is way more challenging. Jonas Crane is smart, engaging…and devastatingly out of her league.
Lily Salomé knows one thing: Jonas Crane is the lover she always dreamt of. Smart, powerful and sexy, both in and out of the bedroom.
For the first time in a long time, things are looking up for Lily. With the city’s most eligible bachelor on her arm, life with Jonas might just live up to all it’s beautiful promise.
That is until an altercation with a man from her past leaves her bruised, frightened, and too ashamed to tell the truth.
She can run, she can hide, but for how long?

Part Three of a Three Part Contemporary Erotic Romance Trilogy
Healing Two Hearts. Creating One Memory.
Lily loves Jonas but implicit trust is another matter. After all they’ve been through, she still can’t believe he’ll stay no matter how deep, how dark her secrets. With her ex, Declan, up to his worst, Lily’s embarrassed and ashamed…but she’s underestimated Jonas. He has brains as well as beauty. With the same ruthlessness he uses to dispatch his business rivals, he vows to annihilate Declan.
Lily is glad to relinquish control. Jonas is determined to personally oversee her recovery and she lets him. She’s still too weak to deal with the chaos that’s become her life. Jonas whisks her away to a secluded luxury loft in Tribeca and pampers her with sensual decadence.
Every caress, every lingering honey-sweet kiss they share says he loves her–even the way he possesses her body in the sultry heat of the night…but will Jonas commit? Will he ever be able to say those three little words she craves to hear from him?
Review of TIGER LILY by Amelie S Duncan. **** 4 1/2 Stars****
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review on behalf of THE BOOK NUTS REVIEWERS.
Lily Salome is an only child, pampered but dearly loved by her parents. They teach her self value and honesty but most of all, they teach her about unconditional love. Tragically, her parents are killed in a car accident, leaving her an orphan with no one but her best friend Mary and her boyfriend Declan.
Lily relocates to New York and she begins to rely heavily on Declan to see to her needs. Lily’s relationship with Declan Gilroy becomes volatile and Declan plays on her insecurities, brought on by the loss of her parents. He leads her down a path of destruction, through psychological and physical abuse. Lily escapes the abusive relationship, with Declan breaking up with her. She’s devastated but picks up the pieces of her tattered life and throws herself into her work.
Lily’s job at Arch publishing as an assistant gives her some peace of mind but allows her to work in an area she loves. She is tasked with trying to gain the trust of a prospective client, Jonas Crane, through an intentional accidental meeting.
Jonas Crane is the epitome of all things business. He is successful, wealthy, gorgeous and seems to have it all. When he meets Lily at a bar, he’s intrigued with the young lady who has caught his eye.
Their relationship burgeons into a fiery and sensual journey for both Lily and Jonas. It takes some interesting twists and turns and the secondary characters give it a humorous change of pace.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it. I would caution that the occurrence of domestic abusive could be a trigger for some readers but in the end, the story holds some valuable insights into this very issue as well as some general advice.
I look forward to reading more from Amelie S Duncan.
