~*~*~ Review of Dark Room by Heidi McLaughlin & LP Dover ~*~*~

Dark Room Cover

The rules of Society X are simple . . . break them and you’re out.

Rule #1 – No names
It doesn’t matter if you want to know, it’s forbidden.

Rule #2 – No exchanging numbers
It doesn’t matter if you want to call, it’s forbidden.

Rule #3 – Everything is to remain strictly anonymous
It doesn’t matter if you want to tell, it’s forbidden.

The Dark Room is the only place you can live out your fantasies and no one will ever know it’s you.

For Parker, what started out as a business transaction has turned into an addiction.

For Mia, it’s been a chance to discover who she truly is.

What happens in the dark will have you begging for more . . .

This book was so amazing, I honestly don’t even know where to begin. I didn’t know what to expect going in, and I can now say that I have personally never read anything else like this. I expected dark erotica, but was pleasantly surprised to find a much lighter, but deeper romance. I know that sounds a bit contradictory, but once you read Dark Room, you’ll understand exactly what I mean.

The main characters, Parker and Mia, are both incredible. Parker is super hot, funny, incredibly sweet. He runs his family’s multi-million dollar business, and takes pride in the fact that he runs it well at such a young age. His number one rule that he set for his employees and himself is that there are no interoffice relationships allowed. He is dedicated, driven, and loyal, even if at the risk of sacrificing his own happiness.

Mia has just come out of a bad relationship, in which her boyfriend was controlling and made her feel as though she wasn’t good enough, and made her have serious self-doubt. She is loyal and caring, and set aside her own dream to help her brother achieve his. She never seems to put herself first, but that all changes when she’s invited to a bachelorette party at Society X. When given an exclusive invitation, she lets her inhibitions go and accepts the offer. Everything that happens after can only be fate.

You may be asking what is the Dark Room? What does Parker have to do with it? How are he and Mia connected? So as to not spoil anything, I really can’t say much more. But trust me when I say this: read this book. You won’t be disappointed.
